Snapshot · TikTok Ads Manager

Edit where the ad is made.

Letting advertisers make quick last-mile edits — add text, music, stickers, captions — simply and lightly, without leaving the ad or opening a heavy editor.

+700% rev. penetration

One of the tools I've designed at TikTok, beyond Symphony. The problem to solve: how do you let an advertiser add text, swap music, drop a sticker or auto-caption an ad in just a few taps? The editor can do a lot underneath — but the job was to keep the common edits simple and lightweight, since most people only want a quick pass right before launch.

The Ads Manager video editor: left tool rail, a vertical video preview centered, and a multi-track timeline along the bottom

Eight tools on one rail — with a real timeline underneath

Text panel with headings, body and animated text templates
Audio panel with recommended music tracks
Sticker panel with a grid of animated stickers
Avatars panel with selectable AI presenters
Effects panel with a grid of filters and scene effects
Transitions panel for stitching clips together
Multi-track timeline with media, sticker, text and audio tracks
Export progress modal — the finished video rendering back into the campaign

Before → after

Same edits, rebuilt to be lighter — out of a crowded, dimmed-out modal and into one focused panel.
